Reined in while riding through the Delta
by the hard riding  Delta Gang.
Sensing gold in our baggage
they decided to rob another stage.

On the trip out, our bag,
just another bag;
for the trip back, too big.
They would take our dollars
-- seventy nine --
to reduce its size.

But Hannah in her Tilley Hat
and secret bracelet survival strap
rode up
to cinch and shrink our errant pack.

Faced with this loss of cash appeal
the gang, scheme failed,
rode away
to scam another day.

We ride nowhere now,
business or fun,
without Hannah on
shotgun.
